A common misconception is that you have a better chance of getting hired if you have racing experience. Racing experience isn't what is needed to work at The Pit Indoor Kart Racing. We look for hard-working individuals who are committed to providing excellent customer service. Job applications should be filled out as completely and neatly as possible. Please read the qualifications below and apply if you feel you meet or exceed these qualifications. A resume is recommended but not required.

Track Marshal
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate with our customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Load and unload customers in the go-karts in a safe and timely manner.
- Monitor and politely control the racing activity to ensure a safe racing environment.
- Maintain our facility and track cleanliness as per our standards.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
- Must be capable of running.
- Must be able to lift 75+ pounds.
- Self motivated (able to complete tasks without being told).
- Work well with other members of our staff.
- Professional and courteous to our customers.
- Reliable (can't be late anytime).
- Positive, outgoing attitude.
- Prior work experience.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Prior track marshal experience/knowledge is helpful but not required.
Cashier and Receptionist
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Greet our customers and assist them in understanding our pricing and specials.
- Process customer payments. This includes receiving correct payments, managing cash drawer, processing cash drawer and credit card transactions, and return appropriate change.
- Apply knowledge of company products and services to assist customer with purchases. Efficiently process customer information and respond to inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic manner.
- Maintain our facility and upstairs cleanliness as per our standards.
- Must be at least 16 years old (if under 18 a work permit is required).
- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Math and currency aptitude.
- Work well with other members of our staff.
- Professional and courteous to our customers.
- Reliable (can't be late anytime).
- Positive, outgoing attitude.
- Prior work experience.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Prior cashier experience is helpful but not required.
Sales Representative
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop corporate business through direct contact with customer and potential customer.
- Generate leads through cold calling, attending events, and other local organization meetings.
- Sell advertising and sponsorships including our kart sponsorships, wall banners, results sheet advertisements, track displays, etc...
- Selling and assisting in planning group and corporate events.
- Develop long term relationships with group and corporate event customers in person, via telephone, fax, and email.
- Work with and coordinate sales opportunities with management.
- Work with graphic designer and marketing team on group and corporate event promotion as well as advertising and sponsorship execution.
- Provide weekly sales reports and review weekly activities and opportunities.
- Exhibit professionalism and provide the highest customer satisfaction.
- Perform post-event follow ups with group and corporate events customers to ensure satisfaction and promote future events.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- At least 1 year of sales experience in a family entertainment center (FEC) type environment or similar entertainment venue.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends. Flexible hours to attend other functions as a representative of The Pit Indoor Kart Racing.
- Must be able to provide own transportation.
- Self motivated (able to complete tasks without being told).
- Work well with other members of our staff.
- Positive, outgoing attitude.
